The Johnston County Alumnae Chapter has received approval to hold their first ever 5k Taking Strides Against Family Violence run in Smithfield.
The event will be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2019 from 7:00am until 11:00am on the Buffalo Creek Greenway, beginning at Smithfield Community Park on Booker Dairy Road.
Smithfield Police will provide security for the event. No food or goods will be solve at the event.
The Smithfield Town Council approved a required permit application for the event from JCAC President Tamara Barbour.
