Another Accident Reported At Dangerous Intersection

A rural intersection known for numerous collisions was the scene of another traffic accident Friday morning.

A roofing company pickup reportedly pulled into the path of an oncoming van at the intersection of Little Creek Church Road at Steel Bridge Road between Smithfield and Clayton.

The crash caused the pickup to overturn in the roadway and the van to spin around and land in a ditch. Occupants in both vehicles sustained minor injuries.

Three people were critically injured in a two vehicle collision at the same intersection in June 2016.  At the time a neighbor said they regularly picked up car parts from their yard from the multiple accidents that occur at the intersection.

This is a scary intersection. I go through it twice a day on weekdays. I drove by this accident this morning. Glad to hear that no one was seriously injured.
