Homebuilders are being alerted about a recent rash of thefts from new home construction sites in Johnston County.
This week, appliances were stolen from new homes being built on Wall Road south of Wendell in northern Johnston County and on Terawood Farm Drive in the Willow Spring community.
Appliances, including microwaves and ranges, were stolen. Other items were bypassed by the thieves who only appear to have been interested in appliances.
Officials believe the incidents are connected.
