SMITHFIELD – The Johnston County Public Health Department has provided the following information as of 4:00 p.m. today.

Beginning April 22nd, a daily case count press release will no longer be issued except for important updates and breaking news.   New cases will continue to be updated daily at www.johnstonnc.com/covid19.

Springbrook Rehabilitation & Nursing Center outbreak data is as follows:

  • 44 current and/or former residents (includes 8 of the total related deaths)
  • 13 staff reside in Johnston County
  • 8 staff reside in other counties

Johnston Correctional Institute outbreak data is as follows:

  • 3 inmates
  • 3 staff reside in Johnston County
