A law enforcement issued AR-15 rifle was stolen during a break-in discovered over-the-weekend.
Early Saturday morning, a Nash County Sheriff’s Office deputy discovered their patrol car had been broken into and a Colt AR-15 rifle and other items had been taken. A rifle magazine and evidence fingerprinting kit were also removed.
The incident happened at an undisclosed location in Nash County.
Investigators are following up on leads in the case.
