Armed Robbers Steal Medication From Smithfield Pharmacy

Smithfield Police are searching for two gunman who robbed the CVS Pharmacy at 1180 North Brightleaf Boulevard this morning (Thursday).

Police Chief Keith Powell said two black males entered the store at 2:47am. The two men displayed guns. Both had their faces covered with bandanas.

Two employees were inside the business at the time of the robbery.  One suspect forced the pharmacist to turn over prescription medication while the second forced a store clerk, who was stocking shelves, to the front of the business.

One suspect was described as being in their mid-20′;s, 5 foot 10, 170 pounds, wearing a tan shirt, dark pants and shoes with a red and white bandana.

The second suspect was in their mid-20’s, 5 foot 10, 150 pounds, wearing a black long sleeve shirt, black pants with a white stripe down the leg and a red bandana.

The robbers fled in a dark color Chevrolet truck.  No injuries were reported.
