An arrest has been made in a rash of car break-ins in Johnston County last year.
On December 11th, numerous car break-ins were reported in the Cleveland community. Multiple items, including electronics, sunglasses, even a firearm were stolen.
On Friday, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of 24 year-old Rakheim Devon Prather of Surles Drive, Four Oaks. Prather was arrested on 21 charges, including 9 counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and 5 counts of larceny. Four of the vehicle break-in charges were from Cumberland County.
He was also charged with failing to appear in court on two charges: fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle and resisting a public officer.
Prather was confined in the Johnston County Jail under a $163,000 bond.
