Arrest Made In Numerous Johnston County Car Break-Ins

CLEVELAND – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in a rash of car break-ins. The break-ins happened this week in the I-40 / NC42 area in the Cleveland community.

Madison Ruby Kennovin, age 18, of Garner was located near the scene of one of the break-ins and taken into custody. She reportedly admitted her involvement in the crimes.

Deputies believe there were other suspects involved. They are working to identify those individuals.

Kennovin was formally charged Tuesday afternoon with 9 car break-ins. Authorities say she will also be charged with 6 additional break-ins.

Kennovin charges include breaking and entering a motor vehicle, attempted breaking and entering a motor vehicle, misdemeanor larceny, larceny of a firearm, resisting a public officer, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
