Sheriff’s detectives have arrested a suspect they say is responsible for a break-in discovered earlier this month in western Johnston County.
On October 4th, a 55 year-old man reported his home and storage barn in the 1200 block of Ridge Road near the Johnston-Harnett County line had been entered. $2,370 in belongings had been stolen including a TV, tool box, drill, chainsaw and trailer.
Last week, Johnston County deputies charged Lewis Williams, 55, of Gregtown Lane, Angier with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. Williams was held in the Johnston County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
Authorities are still working to recover all of the stolen items.
