Arrest Made In Stabbing Outside McDonald’s

An employee at a Johnston County McDonald’s has been arrested for stabbing a man in the parking lot of the restaurant.  The incident happened around 10:45pm Saturday at the McDonald’s on Highway 42 near I-40 in Cleveland.

According to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect Edward Kevin Jackson, 56, of Garner got into some type of dispute with several people at his nearby apartment Saturday night prior to leaving to go to work.

After arriving at work, one of the people at his apartment, 32 year-old Kevin Williams Jr. of Raleigh showed up in the McDonald’s parking lot and during a dispute Jackson allegedly stabbed him twice in the abdomen.

Williams was being rushed to the hospital in a private vehicle when he lost consciousness. The driver of the car stopped the vehicle and called 911 for help. Williams was taken by ambulance to Wake Medical Center for treatment of serious but non-life threatening wounds.

Jackson left the scene but was later arrested at his apartment and charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He was held in the Johnston County Jail under a $40,000 bond.
