Ashley Boyette Fills Vacant Princeton Town Board Seat

PRINCETON – The Princeton Board of Commissioners appointed Ashley Boyette to fill the vacant seat left by now County Commissioner Michael D. Rose, during their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday night.

Ashley is a graduate of Princeton High School. After graduation she continued her education at UNC Wilmington, where she earned a degree in Political Science. She found her passion for policy and public service during her time living in Charleston, SC.

Ashley worked for the city of Charleston in the Real Estate Management division for over five years. She worked closely alongside various departments, including Planning, Budget/Finance, Legal, and Stormwater Management, throughout all projects and transactions.

Ashley loved the reward of working in the public sector and being a steward of taxpayer dollars. She went on to earn a MBA from the University of South Carolina, with a concentration in International Business.

Currently, she works for a private real estate developer in Wayne County, where she oversees land acquisition and land development for all residential developments.

Ashley serves as Vice President of the Princeton Woman’s Improvement Club, serves on various committees within the Junior Women’s League of Smithfield, and is active in the Princeton Public Library Book Club.

Previously, Ashley served on the Planning Board and Board of Adjustment for the Town of Princeton.
 
Ashley is married to her high school sweetheart and best friend, Riley. They have two daughters.
