Audio Equipment Reported Stolen From Local Church

CLAYTON, N.C. – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft at a church near Clayton after audio equipment and other items were reported stolen from a storage building.

Deputies responded to New Hill Baptist Church, located at the intersection of Buffalo Road and Fire Department Road, on June 4 after church officials discovered items missing from a storage shed.

According to a sheriff’s office report, unknown suspect(s) entered the building and removed two speakers, an amplifier and a step ladder. The stolen property was valued at approximately $699.
