L. Diane Wolfe, owner of Dancing Lemur Press LLC, will speak to the Johnston County Writers Group about “The Secret to Editors, Publishers, and Agents” on Thursday, August 9th from 6:30 to 7:30 pmat Selma Public Library, 301 N. Pollock Street, Selma. The meeting is free and open to the public.
Wolfe conducts seminars on book publishing, promoting, leadership, and goal-setting, and she offers book formatting and author consultation. Wolfe is the senior editor at Dancing Lemur Press, LLC and the author of seven books. She travels for media interviews and speaking engagements and maintains numerous websites and blogs, including the Insecure Writer’s Support Group. Known as “Spunk On A Stick,” Wolfe is a member of the National Speakers Association.
Congratulations! Two writers active in the Johnston County Writers Group have won ribbons in the Public Library of Johnston County and Smithfield’s 2018 Poetry Contest! Four Oaks writer T.C. Carter won first place (and a $25 Amazon gift card!) for his poem, “Victorville.” Gabrielle Rose Bryant won third place in the teen division (grades 9-12) with her poem, “There is Never Enough Time in the Day.” Both writers have performed at fourth Friday Open Mics in Selma. Hear them read their winning poems (and bring a poem of your own to share) on Saturday, August 4, starting at 2 pm at the library, 305 E. Market Street in Smithfield. Light refreshments will be served. Open to the public.
