Detectives say they have identified two people they believe are responsible for last week’s robbery of the First Citizens Bank in Buies Creek.
Last Thursday, a lone suspect entered the bank and demanded money before fleeing.
The suspect has been identified as 23 year-old Dequan J. Alston of Charleston, SC. A woman believed to be accompanying Alston has been identified as 22 year-old Christay C. Johnson who had addresses in Charleston, SC and Lillington, NC.
Warrants have been obtained for the couple charging them with robbery with a dangerous weapon, second-degree kidnapping and felony conspiracy.
The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office says they have been in contact with Charleston, SC authorities. Alston and Johnson are believed to be driving a silver 4 door Hyundai Accent with SC license plate 1335JD.
