Benson Convenience Store Robbed

Benson Police are investigating the armed robbery of Bass Country Store.  Officers responded to a 911 call at 6:36pm Sunday reporting a robbery at the business located on Highway 27 East.

According to police, the suspect entered the business armed with a handgun.  The suspect approached an employee and held the gun to her head and shouted, “You put the money in the bag! Every Godda*n bit of it!”

The employee complied and placed an undisclosed amount of money in a camouflage bag the suspect was carrying. The gunman then fled on foot.  Police believe he may have fled from the scene in a newer model white Cadillac, possibly a STS model, parked near the scene.

The gunman was described as a black male wearing a red hoodie with “Triton High School HOSA” on the front, a black undershirt, grey pants, green/tan shoes, black socks and a black face mask.  The suspect was also wearing latex gloves.  He also had an unknown tattoo on his right hand.
