BENSON – A 53 year-old Benson man is charged with 10 counts of second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
Michael Wayne Adams of Shepherd Drive, Benson was arrested July 18 by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s investigators said they received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force. The sheriff’s office conducted a search warrant at Adams home on May 29 and seized a laptop computer.
The NCSBI conducted a forensic analysis of the laptop and reportedly located child sex abuse material, authorities said.
