BENSON – Benson Police are currently searching for a suspect involved in a shooting Friday evening.
At 7:04pm, Benson Police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 500 block of East Benton Street.
Upon arrival, they located one 21-year-old male victim with two gunshot wounds. Police assisted EMS personnel until the victim was transported for further care.
The suspect, who had fled the scene in what is believed to be a white passenger vehicle, was described as a black male approximately 25 years-old.
The investigation remains ongoing and charges are expected to be filed. No additional information has been released.
