Benson Will Combine 2 Festivals Into 1

The Town of Benson will hold two festivals together this year. On November 3, Benson will hold a Veteran’s Day Celebration and the Healthy Harvest Festival.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Florence, Benson has had to rearrange a few dates for its fall events season.

With Mule Days being moved to the fourth weekend in October — the time normally reserved for our Healthy Harvest festival — officials decided to combine two events into one large celebration for our area veterans!

On Saturday, November 3, the Town of Benson will celebrate Veteran’s Day in a big way with the Healthy Harvest Festival and new Run for the Brave 5K, as well as our annual celebration in the Singing Grove and Veteran’s Day Parade.

There’s going to be something for everyone going on at each end of town Saturday with the 5K registration beginning at 7:30am at TNT Fitness at 102 W. Parrish Drive, Healthy Harvest food trucks, vendors, entertainment, and more along Railroad Street from 8am to 1:30pm, the start of the Run for the Brave 5K at 9am, Veteran’s Day Parade along Main Street at 12pm, and lunch for active duty and veterans at 12:30pm in the Singing Grove at 402 E. Main Street.

All donations made during the event will go to the Disabled American Veterans charity.
