Bible Stolen From Unlocked Car

Thieves normally look for electronics, jewelry, money, and credit cards while breaking into cars.  However the thief in a weekend incident took a Bible.

A 42 year-old Four Oaks woman was shopping at Wal-Mart on North Brightleaf Boulevard in Smithfield Saturday afternoon. When she returned to her car she noticed a tote bag was missing. The bag contained the victims Bible.

Police said the victim left her car unlocked before going inside the store. Police have closed their investigation into the theft saying they don’t have any leads.

The Bible was valued at $40.
