SELMA – Another major retailer is opening in Johnston County. BJ’s Wholesale Club recently purchased a 12 acre tract of land for a new location in Selma.
Selma Mayor Byron McAllister said, “The addition of BJ’s Wholesale Club to Eastfield Crossings in Selma is yet another reminder that the State of North Carolina, Johnston County, and the Town of Selma remain wide open for business. Our focus on infrastructure in Selma, NC is part of the secret sauce that has the Crossroads of Tradition and Innovation thriving. Local and State government support with partners like AdVenture Development, Electus Government Affairs, and the many developers involved in our town have made the amazing growth throughout our community possible.”
BJ’s Wholesale Club was founded in 1981 in New England. It has grown to 251 clubs in 21 states. Last week, a BJ’s Wholesale Club opened in Myrtle Beach, SC.
A date when the Selma location will be open for business has not been announced.
