DUNN – Southbound lanes of Interstate 95, between the 70 and 71 mile markers, were closed Wednesday afternoon after a boat separated from the vehicle towing it and landed in the middle of the road.

Southbound traffic was backed up for several miles until the roadway could be reopened. Northbound lanes were slowed due to onlooker delays.
