FOUR OAKS – A box truck overturned shortly before 10:00am today (Wednesday). The accident occurred on the I-95 southbound exit ramp at US 701/301 in Four Oaks.
The driver was not injured.
The NC Department of Transportation responded with a dump truck load of sand to help contain a diesel fuel spill from the overturned truck.
Officials said the box truck was hauling TV’s.
The exit ramp reopened about three hours later.
The State Highway Patrol, Johnston County EMS, Johnston County Emergency Management, Four Oaks Fire and Smithfield Fire were dispatched to the scene.
