In a unanimous decision on Monday , Johnston County Commissioners reappointed Tony Braswell of Pine Level as Board Chairman for 2016. Commissioner Cookie Pope made the motion, seconded by Commissioner Jeff Carver to reappointed
Braswell as chairman next year.
DeVan Barbour of Benson was unanimously approved to return as Vice Chairman in 2016.
Braswell, who is running for the NC House in 2016, said “It is sort of bittersweet as the last year as commissioner. It will be like leaving family when I go. I may be out front, but we do everything as a team. I’m blessed to have a great staff.”
