Closures begin Tuesday, Nov. 6
Drivers on Interstate 795 South near US 70 near Goldsboro will encounter temporary lane closures next week for needed bridge maintenance.
An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will close the right lane on the interstate’s bridge spanning U.S. 70. This lane reduction will require the closure of the exit 25B loop used to enter U.S. 70 from I-795 South. The workers need to replace the bridge’s expansion joints to prolong the life of the bridge.
The closures are scheduled to take place between approximately 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily, starting Tuesday, Nov. 6th and continuing through Friday, Nov. 9, weather permitting.
A detour will send I-795 South motorists to West Ash Street, then on I-795 North to reach U.S. 70.
