Britt Earns AIFA Designation

Timothy C. Britt, Chief Wealth Officer for KS Bank, has been awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® Analyst (AIFA®) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies™ (the Center), the standards-setting body for fi360.  AIFA designation holders are the only recognized professionals trained to perform fiduciary assessments, which measure how well investment professionals are fulfilling the fiduciary duties required of them by the applicable investment legislation, case law, and regulatory opinion letters.

Britt previously received the AIF designation, approximately ten years ago, which signifies specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care. This designation is the culmination of a rigorous training program, which includes a comprehensive, closed-book final examination under the supervision of a proctor, and agreement to abide by the Code of Ethics and Conduct Standards.

KS Bank is a full service community bank with nine retail locations in Johnston, Wake, Wilson, and Wayne counties.  The bank established a Trust Department in 2015 with Britt as its Chief Officer.  He has over twenty-three years of experience in trust, estate, and investment planning.  Britt is a native of Princeton, NC.  He and his family currently reside in Asheboro, NC, but he maintains an office in Smithfield as well as Asheville.
