Authorities are looking for an individual who fired a gun into the home of an elderly Benson woman on Tuesday landing inside.
The 86 year-old woman said she was at her home on Aquilla Road on Tuesday when she discovered a broken glass window and later the bullet lodged in her couch. The victim said she didn’t hear the gunshot. Officers said the incident happened sometime between 10:00am and 8:00pm.
Johnston County Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell said it appears the projectile was fired from some distance away from the residence. The victim was not harmed.
