A bullet hole was found in a school bus this week. The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office was called to the campus of Polenta Elementary School on Josephine Road to take a report and began an investigation.
The bullet reportedly pierced the metal exterior of the bus leaving a small hole.
According to authorities the incident is believed to have occurred between Friday and Monday but was not reported until Tuesday. Officials have no idea where the damage occurred.
A maintenance worker patched the hole and the bus was used Tuesday afternoon to transport students.
