Burglar Steals Cash During Convenience Store Break-In

A burglar stole cash during a break-in at a Johnston County convenience store. It happened around 11:30PM Sunday at the D R Wells Cleveland Emporium at 9005 Cleveland Road.

An employee discovered the break-in early Monday morning.

According to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, forced entry was made into the business. Once inside the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash then fled.  Damage to the entry door was placed at $700.

Detectives are investigating the incident.
