A hungry burglar broke into a Johnston County home stealing snack items.
A resident of Barnes Lake Road, off Highway 39 North, reported Monday afternoon someone had broken into her home between Feb. 17 and Feb. 22nd.
The victim said the suspect damaged a door to gain entry. Once inside Pringles, Cheetos and two cups of pudding were stolen. The items had a combined value of $8.00.
In another food-related incident, an employee at Sheetz on Highway 42 at Cornwallis Road near Clayton called deputies on Feb. 1st reporting a customer walked out of the business without paying for a milkshake valued at $3.52.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating both incidents.
