A Four Oaks woman is behind bars after being linked to a break-in last month in the Meadow community in southern Johnston County.
On June 1st, the 27 year-old victim said he was returning to his home on Lee-Johnson Road and met a female acquaintance leaving the area of his residence. When they passed on the highway the female allegedly gave the man the middle finger.
The victim said after arriving at his home he discovered a break-in and prescription medication belonging to a child at the residence had been stolen. There was also damage to a door frame.
Following an investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, Brittany Kay Steigelman, 26, of Old School Road, was charged July 9th with felony breaking and entering and felony larceny. She was placed in the Johnston County Jail under a $60,000 bond.
