SMITHFIELD – Officers are investigating a business break-in. A manager at Belk, located at 1231 N. Brightleaf Boulevard, reported the break-in Wednesday morning.
Smithfield Police said the rear door to Belk was forced open sometime Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning. No items were reported stolen.
Damage to the door was estimated at $200.
