Business Burglary Takes 1 Minute

Surveillance cameras captured an early morning business burglary that took about one minute for a thief to commit.

Around 3:15am Sunday, a lone suspect used a piece of concrete to shattered a window and gain entry into Barefoot’s Country Store at 3295 US 701 South of Four Oaks.  Once inside the suspect stole three cash registers and an undisclosed amount of money.

It took about one minute for the thief to enter the business and flee with the property.

Johnston County deputies said the suspect is a tall black male standing at least 6 feet, with a medium build, wearing shorts and pants.  He was wearing gloves during the break-in and his face was covered.

The stolen cash registers were valued at $7,400.  Damage to the business was estimated at $300.
