On Saturday, Robbins Nest Restaurant, located on Hwy 70-A in Selma, NC was presented the “Good Business Award” from the Johnston County Marine Corps League Carry-On Detachment #1236.

Robbins Nest is a true Southern home cooking buffet restaurant where they have a very long and successful track record of friendly service and great food. Just off the hustle and bustle of the many fast food chains that line I-95, Robbins Nest is a family owned and operated hidden treasure that is a Johnston County favorite to locals and travelers alike.

“Silent gratitude isn’t much to anyone, and we, as the JoCo Marines recognize this and give thanks where it is due,” the group said in a press release.

Among many other community service programs, the Carry-On Detachment of the Marine Corps League presents a “Good Business Award” to one business each month who continuously and properly displays the American Flag at their establishment, reminding all that travel past or visit their business of the struggle for Independence that brave men and women who have fought and died defending those Stars and Stripes.Robbins-Nest-Flag-1
