SMITHFIELD – Detectives are investigating an armed robbery at a Smithfield business. Around 9:29pm Tuesday, an unknown person entered Mr Smoke & Vape, located at 1547 E Market Street, Suite 102, and produced a handgun.
At gunpoint the suspect stole an undisclosed amount of cash and several vape products before fleeing. There were two employees in the business. They were not injured.
The suspect was described as an unknown person wearing all black clothing, including a black hoodie with a skull mask. They fled in a red sedan parked outside.

I dislike Vape shops, but it is still a place of business in our County of Johnston and we don’t want this crap here. I agree with BA because one day you are going to mess with the wrong Johnstonian!
It’s unfortunate that they can catch the most covered up murder suspects within days but can’t seem to catch one bad armed robber who can’t even keep the gun unjammed and leaves in a spotted vehicle , our county dose not care if they did they would just look at the traffic cameras and building cameras at the plate number on the back of the spotted vehicle
