“Cade’s Crew” Fundraiser Aims To Lift Family During Leukemia Battle

FOUR OAKS, N.C. – The community is coming together to support a young boy and his family as they face a difficult medical journey.

A benefit fundraiser for Cade Belsley, a first-grade student at Four Oaks Elementary, is scheduled for Saturday, May 2, at 2920 Harper House Road in Four Oaks. The event will begin at 11 a.m. and continue until food is sold out.

Cade has been diagnosed with B-cell acute leukemia and is currently receiving inpatient treatment in Chapel Hill. The extended hospital stay has forced his family to spend long periods away from home as they remain by his side.

Organizers say the fundraiser is designed to help offset mounting expenses associated with travel, medical care, and time away from work.

The event will feature BBQ chicken plates available for dine-in or takeout for $12. In addition to the meal sale, organizers have planned a raffle and live auction. The raffle drawing is scheduled for 5 p.m., followed by a live auction at 6 p.m.

Raffle prizes include a variety of items such as outdoor cooking equipment, firearms, and other donated goods. Tickets are being sold for $20.

All proceeds will go directly to the family to help with ongoing medical expenses.
