Campbell Baseball First Pitch Dinner Set For Feb. 11

Jeremy Sheetinger, College Division Liaison for the American Baseball Coaches Association and a former coach, will be the keynote speaker for the 2017 First Pitch Dinner on Feb. 11th at Campbell.

Buies Creek – Campbell Baseball has set its 2017 First Pitch Dinner forFebruary 11 at McCall Court inside the John W. Pope Jr. Convocation Center, announced by Campbell head coach Justin Haire.

The night will begin with a VIP reception at 6 p.m., followed by the main event at 6:30 p.m.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Jeremy Sheetinger, current College Division Liaison for the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA), and former coach.

With the ABCA, “Sheets” oversees NCAA Division II, III, NAIA and the NJCAA, also serving as an MLB Associate Scout with the Atlanta Braves.

Throughout his career, Sheets has done extensive work on the national camp circuit, working/running events in over 30 different states, as well as Canada and the Dominican Republic. He has coached at every level, from assistant jobs at the NAIA and Division II levels, to Director of Operations at University of Kentucky for 3 years. He spent three years as a collegiate head coach at Spalding University in Louisville, Ky.

Sheets also is a sought-after keynote speaker, giving multiple presentations at the Kentucky High School Baseball Coaches Association Convention, the “Be The Best” Coaching Clinic in Atlantic City, N.J., and touring across the country presenting his College Baseball Recruiting Seminars.

Sheets is the creator and host of the popular national podcast, “ABCA’s Calls from the Clubhouse” that has featured some of the best minds in baseball, and began the ABCA Barnstormers Clinics that were wildly successful up and down the West Coast in 2016. His episode of “Top Coach Podcast”-the premiere college coaching podcast in the country- was recently named the most downloaded podcast of 2016.

Haire will preview the 2017 Campbell season, as well as introduce this year’s team and staff.  The 2017 Campbell Baseball Alumni of the Year will also be presented. Season tickets, pocket schedules and posters will be available.

The VIP reception will include appetizers, meet and greet with keynote speaker, plus autograph opportunities with former Camels that are currently playing professional baseball (#ProHumps).

General admission to the 2017 Campbell Baseball First Pitch Dinner is $30. VIP tickets are $60.

There is also a VIP table option, including seven tickets, admission to the VIP reception, company or individual name recognition at the table, player of your choice to sit at your table, priority seating and a signed baseball for each guest.
