Buies Creek – Campbell hosted its first football pro day on Monday, welcoming 20 professional scouts to Barker-Lane Stadium.
Eight Campbell seniors, including defensive end Ugonna Awuruonye, defensive tackle Greg Milhouse, cornerback Brandon Mobley, wide receiver Ricky Brown, wide receiver Andre Davis, long snapper Daniel Dillon, wide receiver Ben Bolling and wide receiver Damon Simmons performed for 19 National Football League and one Canadian Football League scouts.
The Camels’ 2016 Scout Day was the first for the Campbell football program, which completed its eighth season of competition in 2015, and third under former 10-year NFL veteran and Carolina Panther, head coach Mike Minter.
After completing weigh-ins, the group participated in a full pro-style workout, with the 40-yard dash, bench press, vertical jump and broad jump, plus pro agility, three cone, 60-yard shuttle and position drills.
