Buies Creek – Campbell redshirt senior wide receiver Ben Bolling has been named Academic All-District 3 by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Bolling takes home CoSIDA Academic All-District accolades for the second time in his career, also earning a nod in 2013. The Knightdale, N.C. native carries a 3.47 GPA with an exercise and sport management major.
The redshirt senior is Campbell’s all-time leader in receiving yards (1,249), also tying for the program lead in receiving touchdowns (8) and receptions (95). Bolling owns 14 catches for 136 yards and a touchdown this season.
First-team Academic All-District™ honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
At least one Campbell student-athlete has achieved academic all-district status in each of the last 22 years. Ashley Clark of women’s soccer was named Second Team Academic All-District last week.
Campbell heads to San Diego Saturday, Nov. 7, in a week 10 Pioneer Football League matchup.
