SELMA – Around 6:00am Saturday, a passenger car slammed into the rear of a dump truck, causing major damage to the car and bending a wheel and flattening a tire on the truck
The dump truck had just pulled out of a driveway onto Buffalo Road near Old Beulah Road just north of Selma when the accident occurred.
A neighbor, who has lived on Buffalo Road for 50 years, says accidents near the intersection are not uncommon.
Selma Fire and Johnston County EMS responded. The driver of the passenger car sustained non-life threatening injuries.
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol investigated.
