Car Overturns In Downtown Benson Crash

BENSON, N.C. — Two cars collided Friday in downtown Benson, causing one vehicle to overturn and injure its driver.

The crash occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of East Parrish Drive and South Elm Street. The driver of the overturned car, a local resident, suffered minor injuries.

The intersection was blocked for a period of time as crews worked to clear the scene.

Johnston County EMS and the Benson Fire Department responded to the crash.

Benson Police are investigating the cause of the collision.
