A single vehicle accident closed one lane of Highway 50 in Johnston County Sunday afternoon. The wreck occurred about 5 miles north of Benson in the Elevation community.
A passenger car ran off the roadway, struck a sign then overturned in the driveway of a home.
The occupants of the car were treated at the scene by paramedics. The NC Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
