Car Overturns On US 70

Traffic on US 70 between Selma and Wilson’s Mills was backed up Thursday morning after a car overturned on a bridge near Johnston Correctional.

Westbound lanes were shutdown for about an hour until the single vehicle crash could be cleared.

No information was available on the condition of the driver or other occupants in the vehicle. The NC Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.  Photos by John Payne
