For the second time in three days a car has struck a Clayton business.
Around 3:00pm Monday, a driver had a medical issue that caused him to accidentally drive his car into the front of the Pep Boys at 11999 Hwy 70 Business West in Clayton.
The man was taken to Wake Med hospital.
Luckily no one inside or outside the Pep Boys lobby was injured.
The damage was only cosmetic to the brick veneer in front of the door, but another car in the parking lot had minor damage from the crash. Pep Boys remains open for business.
On Friday, and just down US 70 from Pep Boys, a van plowed into the front of Big Cheese Pizza. Thankfully no one was hurt there but the driver of the van was cited for DWI.
