Several adults along with one child in a car seat escaped serious injury following a violent crash Monday afternoon on Highway 39 North of Selma at Old Beulah Road.
Around 5:00pm, a black SUV and silver passenger car collided at the rural intersection, causing the SUV to overturn several times. An 18 month old infant was in a car seat in the SUV. The child was properly restrained and suffered no apparent injuries.
The accident victims were taken to Johnston Medical Center in Smithfield to be checked out.
