Car, Truck Collide On Highway 42

A car and pickup truck collided head-on Friday night on Highway 42 West of Clayton near the Cornwallis Road intersection.

Despite the impact and significant damage to both vehicles, neither driver sustained life-threatening injuries.

Clayton fire crews were on the scene of an outbuilding fire in the Walden Way subdivision when they diverted personnel to respond to the accident.  Photos by John Payne
