CLAYTON – A 20 year-old man is facing numerous charges after he allegedly carjacked an elderly couple in Johnston County, then led authorities on a high speed chase. It was the second car theft of the day for the suspect, Donald Avery Banks of Cary.

Saturday morning, Banks reportedly stole a GMC SUV from the driveway of a home in Raleigh as the owner was warming up the vehicle.

  1. Thank God the elderly couple were not seriously injured. This must be one bad dude to be so tough to the elderly. Let’s see what happens to him in jail and how tough he is. He will cry like a baby.

  2. Everyone too busy posting asinine political comments to even take a minute to show concern for the elderly lady left in the street are what’s REALLY wrong with society these days. Believe it or not there are criminals as well as saints in every political affiliation, every race, every gender and in every community. So just stop it with the race/political baiting because you sound ignorant.

  3. I am daily reminded by all these comments how JoCo has some real nutjobs here. The election is OVER! We have a President now. Get over it!!
