Smithfield Police are investigating break-in’s reported into cars and SUV’s at two auto dealerships. They happened Thursday night or Friday morning at Perfect Ride at 732 N. Brightleaf Boulevard and Deacon Jones Auto at 953 N. Brightleaf Boulevard.
At Perfect Ride, a radio valued at $1,000 was stolen from a Ford. Rims valued at $4,000 were stolen from a Chevy Tahoe.
At Deacon Jones, a vehicle was broken into and four tires and rims valued at $4,000 was taken. A window was broken out of a second vehicle and a radio valued at $200 was stolen.
Police believe the break-ins at the two dealerships are connected. Detectives are investigating.
