Smithfield Police are investigating a break-in Monday where cash and valuable jewelry were stolen.
A total of $4,000 in cash and three rings valued at $2,000 were taken during a break-in in the 200 block of South Sixth Street. The 38 year-old victim said they left home around 7:40 AM and when they returned at 3:45 PM discovered signs of forcible entry and the property missing.
The incident remains under investigation by police.
