On award day, Maul was caught in an act of good service again when she was helping a customer load groceries into their vehicle. Customer Service Manager Sharon Digman said, “When Food Lion created this position, they envisioned a person just like Lisa. She does Food Lion proud.”

Maul said customer service is easy for her because she fell in love with the Benson community.

Jenny Campbell of Jenny’s Sweet Creations on Main Street donates a box of sweet treats to each new recipient as a thank you for excellent service. The Town of Benson and Jenny’s Sweet Creations will be surprising one customer service employee in Benson every month.

The program was launched to spread the positive message of Benson as a great place to work, live, and play so and to make Benson “the best small town in North Carolina!”  Share your story of exceptional customer service on the Town of Benson’s Facebook page.
