Cause Identified In Fire At Kenly-Area Business

KENLY — Firefighters from three Johnston County departments responded Tuesday night to a structure fire at a manufactured home dealership.

Johnston County 911 received a call reporting the fire at Paradise Homes, at 8087 N.C. Highway 222 West in the Stancil’s Chapel community. Crews from the Antioch, Bethany and Northside fire departments were dispatched to the scene.

Firefighters arrived to find a workshop fully involved in flames. The fire was contained to the workshop area.

The Johnston County Fire Marshal’s Office determined the fire was accidental and caused by an electrical issue involving lithium-ion batteries.
No injuries were reported.

Maybe telling how the lithium batteries caused the fire could prevent another.
No you can’t talk bad about electric cars and batteries that barn burnt so clean it didn’t even make smoke
